The ºÚÁÏÍø Model United Nations Club participates at the National Model United Nations conference every spring in New York City. Over the past several years, the club has represented Thailand, Pakistan, Argentina, Hungary, Palestine, Côte d'Ivoire, and Guyana on various UN committees, including the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the Security Council. For its efforts, the club has earned multiple conference awards.

Throughout the academic year, the Model UN Club holds weekly meetings to prepare for the conference. These meetings help students learn how to write UN resolutions and follow UN committee procedures.

Students who attend the conference earn course credit by enrolling in POSC 111: Model UN, which is offered every spring semester. Club members are also encouraged to take POSC 415: The UN System.

The SU Model UN Club is open to anyone interested in diplomacy, global politics, and international organizations. No past Model UN experience is necessary. Contact the faculty advisor, Dr. Eric Rittinger ( errittinger@salisbury.edu), for more information.

Pi Sigma Alpha is classified by the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) as an "upper division, specialized" honor society. Membership is open to students who have taken at least 18 hours of political science courses, who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and a GPA of 3.25 in political science courses.  As a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, students will receive a certificate of recognition and be eligible to wear honor regalia at Commencement.

The Political Science & International Studies Club was born out of a professor and student desire to build better connections among political science & international studies students. This club creates opportunities for students to network with other politically aware students.

The Political Science & International Studies Club works for students. As a club, it is designed to take the wants and needs of students and make them possible outside of the organization’s main mission. They hold discussions and debates on student-submitted topics, hold resume and LinkedIn workshops specially tailored to club members, get students directly involved in politics, identify internship and job opportunities, and plan politics-related field trips.
