SI Testimonials

Tyler helped me succeed in Calculus through many different study strategies and giving ample sample problems to help me out. He was a great dude too!
Darby did such a great job and made me feel so welcome! I learned a lot from her and the study guides!
Kennedy you were a great aspect to my year semester in math! When I started math, I was certain that I couldn’t retain the information or even understand. My first exam I failed and my second and third exam I continued to prosper, and I ended up getting 100’s. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this course.

The Center for Student Achievement will follow the same SI session schedule available on this webpage with SI sessions facilitated via Zoom. Please anticipate consistent communication from your course's SI leader with more information and instructions.

SI Partners for Success

SI is a peer academic enhancement program used by hundreds of colleges and universities throughout the world. Students who have performed well in historically difficult courses are nominated to be SI leaders by their faculty members. SI leaders are then paired with an instructor, attend all class sessions, and facilitate three hours of each week, open to all enrolled students. SI offers weekly structured study sessions where students can:

  • ASK questions, discuss and practice content
  • LEARN strategies and skills to study
  • SUCCEED: Participants often earn higher grades

SI is provided for all students who want to improve their understanding of course material and improve their grades. Attendance at sessions is voluntary. It's a chance to get together with people in your class to compare notes, to discuss important concepts, to develop strategies for studying the subject and to test yourselves before the professor does, so that when he/she does you'll be ready. At each session, you will be guided through this material by your SI leader, a competent students who has previously taken the course.
