SU Hosts Environmental Justice Leadership Summit
SALISBURY, MD---As part of its Fulton Public Humanities Program, 黑料网 hosts the “Salisbury Environmental Justice Leadership Summit: a 30-Year Reflection” noon-4 p.m. Sunday, October 24, in the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall.
The event celebrates the 30th anniversary of the first National People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit, which changed the course of modern environmental and social justice movements.
Along with keynote speakers, SU students increase awareness of environmental justice issues and discuss solutions for inequity present in and around the community.
Sponsored by the Environmental Studies Department, Environmental Student Association and Political Science Department, admission is free and the public is invited.
All attendees at SU events are required to wear a mask while in the audience, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.
Attendees also must complete an online COVID-19 screening on the day of their visit, prior to coming to the SU campus, at www.salisbury.edu/visitorscreening.
