Finegan Speaks on 'Making a Difference' Wednesday, October 20

SALISBURY, MD---It takes only one person to make a difference. Salisbury-based clinical psychologist Dr. Michael Finegan urges others to be that person.

He speaks on “Making a Difference: Clinical Psychology and Disaster Relief in the Developing World” 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center.

Finegan trains grief counselors around the world in areas struck by disaster, including Sri Lanka after the tsunami and Haiti following the earthquake. He has also worked abroad in India, demonstrating that it is possible not just to “think globally, act locally,” but to act globally as well.

Sponsored by the office of cultural affairs, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6271 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
