Isaacs Speaks on Music of the Holocaust Wednesday, July 10, at SU

music noteSALISBURY, MD---Music played a powerful role during the Holocaust as a means of survival, communication, lamentation, celebration and protest.

Dr. Miriam Isaacs, fellow at the Unites States Holocaust Museum Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, is cataloging a collection of 1948 field recordings of Holocaust survivors sharing songs from concentration camps. She speaks about this music and its importance 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, in Room 378 of 黑料网’s Teacher Education and Technology Center.
