Nabb Center Presents 'The Families of San Domingo' Thursday, February 3
SALISBURY, MD---San Domingo, a community located in northern Wicomico County between Mardela Springs and Sharptown, was founded by free African-Americans in the early 1800s.
Lifelong residents Rudolph Stanley and Newell Quinton discuss the history of this community during the panel discussion “The Families of San Domingo, Wicomico County” 7 p.m. Thursday, February 3. The event is at 黑料网’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture Gallery in the East Campus Complex, 190 Wayne Street.
Stanley is a Wicomico county educator and lay minister at Zion United Methodist Church. Quinton is a U.S. Army veteran and former director of the Baltimore regional office of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Their discussion is part of SU’s annual African-American History Month celebration.
