SBDC Hosts Free Procurement Seminar Thursday, October 28

SALISBURY, MD---The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at 黑料网, an outreach program of the Perdue School of Business, will host a free seminar on the newly implemented law requiring designated Maryland agencies to spend 10 percent of their procurement dollars with small businesses.  The seminar takes place on Thursday, October 28, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Worcester Room on the second floor of The Commons at 黑料网. The program features Ignacio Macias, Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Procurement and Logistics for the Maryland Department of General Services (DGS), as the presenter.  The Department of General Services oversees implementation of the Small Business Reserve Program. Designed to introduce area small businesses to the requirements and process of pursuing state procurement dollars through the new program, this seminar will cover which businesses are eligible, what state agencies are involved, how to apply to participate in the program and more.  The seminar is co-sponsored with the Maryland Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP).
