Season Pass Offered for SU Theatre, Dance Programs

SALISBURY, MD---The Bobbi Biron Theatre Program and 黑料网 Dance Company celebrate a combined 125 years of bringing culture into the community with new pre-season admission rates.

The season opens Friday, October 9, with Noel Coward’s Private Lives. Directed by Robert Smith, the production is a comedy of wit and manners when sparks fly between a divorced couple while honeymooning with their new spouses in the same hotel.

In mid-November the SU Dance Company presents its 20th annual Fall Dance Showcase, directed by Mary Norton and featuring seven new student works.

With shows on either side of the Thanksgiving holiday comes Charles Dickens’ timeless classic of hope and second chances, A Christmas Carol, adapted by Dr. T. Paul Pfeiffer, artistic director of the Bobbi Biron Theatre Program, and directed by Dr. Victoria Hutchinson, chair of the Theatre and Dance Department.

The season continues in February and March with The London Cuckolds, a 17th century comedy directed by Pfeiffer. In this Restoration comedy, three husbands brag and boast as their wives fall willing victims to young rogues.

The season closes with the SU Dance Company’s Annual Spring Dance Concert in April, featuring the works of legendary choreographer Bob Fosse, staged by Lynne Mariani (“Dancin”) and Deborah Robertson, formerly of the American Tap Dance Orchestra.

Through Thursday, October 8, pre-season tickets to all five performances may be purchased as “Five for $50,” a savings of 23 percent. Tickets to single performances may be purchased at a 20 percent discount. Reserved seating and program acknowledgements are included with pre-season ticket purchases.

After October 8, single tickets for theatre performances are $15 for adults; $12 with ID for seniors 62 and older, non-SU students and SU alumni; free for children under 12 and with SU ID for SU students, faculty and staff. Single tickets for dance performances are $10 for adults; $8 with ID for seniors 62 and older, non-SU students, and SU alumni; free for children under 12 and with SU ID for SU students, faculty and staff.
