SU Piano and Strings Students Perform in Recital December 6
SALISBURY, MD---The 黑料网 Music, Theatre and Dance Department hosts its semi-annual piano and strings concert 2 p.m. Friday, December 6, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
Piano performances include Bach’s “Badinerie” from Orchestra Suite No. 2 in B minor by Sungryung Kim and Geneque Garrison, arranged by Max Reger, and “Variations on a Theme of Greensleeves” by Kim and Garrison, arranged by Frank Mantooth. Also on the program are Brahms’ “Ballade in G Minor (Opus 118 No. 3)” by Geneque Garrison, Liszt’s “Consolation No. 1 in E Major,”, Grieg’s “Norwegian Peasant’s March – Opus 54 No. 2” by Chareese Vandyke, Chopin’s “Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor” by Elijah Fallon and Scott Joplin’s “Bethena” by Anna Avrick.
Violin performances include Wieniawski’s “Legende, Op. 17” by Christopher Sajadi; Viotti’s “Violin Concerto No. 23” by Allison Guy; Komarowski’s “Violin Concerto in E Minor” by Lindsey Behrman; and Borowski’s “Adoration” by Katherine Bobele.
Other strings performances include Handel’s “Passacaglia” by Allison Guy, Anthony Constantine and Katherine Bobele; Rachmaninoff’s “Vocalise” by cellist John Anderes; “Marcello Sonata in G minor” by bassist Marie Martin; and Beethoven’s “Menuet in G” by cellist Eleanor Lee.
The musicians are students of Drs. Linda Cockey, Sachi Murasugi and Jeffrey Schoyen.
