Business Clients Sought for SU M.B.A. Project Consulting Course

By SU Public Relations

SALISBURY, MD---黑料网’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is seeking clients for its M.B.A. program’s project consulting course in which seniors gain hands-on experience working with businesses and organizations.

Projects may be managed in person or at a distance using video conferencing, collaborative workspaces, and online presentations for analysis and recommendations. Interested prospective clients are invited to submit a synopsis of a problem students might solve for their organization.

The course includes M.B.A. consulting teams meeting in class or online with their clients, making a presentation of project status and giving a final presentation. Early in the term, teams produce an engagement letter, which clients may agree to or amend. At the end of the term, teams provide an analysis of the problem and a final recommendation.

Client requirements include:

•    One individual designated as point of contact throughout the duration of the program (January through mid-May).

•    Each team member must be available to participate using online conferencing and collaboration technology to communicate with the team of graduate student consultants.

M.B.A. coursework and student experience include finance, economics and accounting, and courses focusing on business operations/analysis, enterprise systems, marketing, human resources and strategy. SU’s unique curriculum incorporates SAP, an enterprise resource planning software, as a tool in several classes.

Organizations interested in engaging graduating M.B.A. students on a consulting project should email M.B.A. Director Yvonne Downie Hanley explaining what they would like SU students to do and the point of contact for the project’s duration. Selected client organizations will be notified in early January.
