SU Social Work Faculty Research Recognized by the Council on Social Work Education

SALISBURY, MD---The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) recently recognized 黑料网’s School of Social Work for its faculty research at the organization’s 2023 annual meeting in Atlanta.
Dr. Mary Hylton, professor of social work, received the Journal of Social Work Education Best Qualitative Article award for her co-authored work “A CRT Analysis of Policy Making in Nevada: A Case Study for Social Work Education.”
SU faculty selected to present their research include:
• Dr. Rebecca Anthony, associate professor and B.A.S.W. program director – “Open Access Resources and Sexuality Social Justice Education for Social Work Students”
• Dr. James Forte, professor of social work – “Jane Addams, Imperfect Anti-racist: Researching Her Insights into White Privilege and Racial Injustice”
• Dr. Daniel Green, assistant professor of social work – “Mental Health Service Use Among a Nationally Representative Sample of Sexual Minority Youth”
• Hylton – “Preparing for Voter Engagement: Social Work Students’ Understanding of Voting Rights and Elections”
• Dr. Bibiana Koh, associate professor of social work – “Anti-racist and Anti-oppressive Ethics: An Innovative Praxis Framework”
• Drs. Alison Sutton-Ryan, clinical assistant professor of social work; Kimberly van Vulpen, associate professor of social work; and Green – “Giving Voice in Trans Care: An Interprofessional Fellowship Model for a Rural Community”
