SU 'Night Blooms' Exhibit Opens September 18

SALISBURY, MD---David Gladden, 黑料网 associate professor of art, presents the solo exhibition “Night Blooms” September 18-November 10, in the University Gallery of Fulton Hall.

An artist talk and reception are 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 21, in Fulton Hall’s Herman van Apeldoorn Film Center, Room 111. Gladden presents a performance as part of the exhibit 7 p.m. Thursday, November 9, in Conway Hall Room 317.

In “Night Blooms,” Gladden presents new media works envisioned as a moon-glowing garden: luminous, electronic flowers in full blossom; the fruits of subconscious germination; and nocturnal growth. Included are 3-D printed objects, embedded video sculptures, colorful light boxes, ambient drone music and 3-D animations.

Gladden also presents as part of SU’s Fulton Faculty Colloquium 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, in Conway Hall Room 152. In addition, his most recent film, Swamp Creatures, is featured during this semester’s SU Film at Fulton series 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, in the Herman van Apeldoorn Film Center.
