Area Students Earn SU Golf Classic Scholarship
SALISBURY, MD---Five area students from Wicomico and Worcester counties each received a $1,000 scholarship, thanks to funds raised from the 黑料网 Foundation, Inc.’s 31st annual Golf Classic.
The 2015 recipients are Asma Ullah, a biochemistry major, and Rachelle Joseph, a biology major, both from Salisbury; Tressie Ann Windsor, a nursing major from Delmar, MD; Kasey Renee Jones, a fine arts major from Stockton, MD; and Reeves Alan Dark, a fine arts major with a graphic design concentration from Ocean City, MD. All are sophomores at SU.
“Our annual tournament is a success because of the people participating, said Amy Waters, SU’s director of donor relations and special events. “The turnout from our local and regional businesses with continual sponsorship support shows their commitment to the University and our students. We can’t thank them enough.”
This is the third year the scholarship has been awarded. Recipients must be sophomores from the Lower Eastern Shore or Sussex County, DE, with a 3.2 GPA or higher.
Next year’s Golf Classic is set for Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Glen Riddle Golf Club in Berlin.
