'Bits and Pieces' Performance at SU April 29-May 1
SALISBURY, MD---Organ donation is normally a good thing — but what is a grieving widow to do when portions of her late husband’s body are scattered inside a dozen others?
That’s the question 40-year-old Iris faces in Corinne Jacker’s Obie Award-winning Bits and Pieces, performed at 黑料网 Friday-Sunday, April 29-May 1. Curtain is 8 p.m., 2 p.m. Sunday, in the Black Box Theatre of Fulton Hall.
Directed by senior theatre major Faith Sullivan, the play follows Iris as she sets out on a quest to track down the recipients of her husband’s organs around the world, all the while reassembling bits and pieces of their life together.
The cast includes Quincy Jennings, Caroline Lewis, Andres Roa, Madeline Webb and Zach Williams. Costume designer is Niamani Robinson. Lighting designer is Madeline Stiso. Samantha Olsen stage manages.
The Los Angeles Times has called Bits and Pieces “a dark comedy [with] some valuable insights into death and loss.”
