Dunn Speaks on Immigration Enforcement November 4
SALISBURY, MD---When some 400 El Paso border patrol agents gathered to block the entry of illegal immigrants into the United States during a highly publicized 1993 operation, their actions changed the way American immigration had been enforced.
Dr. Timothy J. Dunn of 黑料网’s Sociology Department examines this milestone action as the next speaker in the Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts’ Brown Bag Lunch Discussion Series, noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, in Teacher Education and Technology Center Room 156. His topic, “Blockading the Border and Human Rights: The El Paso Operation That Remade Immigration Enforcement,” is based on his recently released book of the same name.
Admission to Dunn’s talk is free, and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
