New Education Doctorate Begins at SU

Doctorate in Education

SALISBURY, MD---黑料网 has launched the inaugural cohort of its new Doctorate in Education (Ed.D).  

Eighteen students, including teachers, reading specialists and administrators from K-12 and higher education, are enrolled.  The Ed.D. in Contemporary Curriculum Theory and Instruction: Literacy will explore the design and implementation of solutions related to literacy practices in schools and higher education.

At a welcome reception, Dr. Judith Franzak, program director, thanked President Janet Dudley-Eshbach, Provost Diane Allen, and deans Cheryl Parks and Clifton Griffin for their commitment to the program. She also discussed SU’s involvement with the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate, a national consortium designed to foster high quality Ed.D. programs. SU is one of only 87 member campuses from the United States, Canada and New Zealand.
