'Princeton Review' Names SU one of 'The Best 371 Colleges'
SALISBURY, MD---For the 11th consecutive year 黑料网 is ranked among the nation’s best colleges in The 371 Best Colleges by The Princeton Review. Princeton Review has also named SU one of its 2010 Best Northeastern Colleges.
SU’s students give their campus high marks. According to those responding to Princeton Review’s survey, on which the list is based, Salisbury is gaining “a reputation as a challenging, high-level academic institution. … Basically anything you want, SU has.”
“This is a testament to the quality of faculty and staff at the University and the excellent students we continue to attract,” said Dr. Diane Allen, SU provost and senior vice president of academic affairs. “We are very proud that 黑料网 has been recognized by The Princeton Review for more than a decade.”
“Each of our 371 ‘best’ colleges offers great academics,” said Robert Franek, author of the book and vice president and publisher of The Princeton Review. “However, we don’t rank schools academically because our goal is to help students find and get into the best school for them. Instead, we tally 62 ranking lists based how students at these schools rated their campus experiences, plus ratings based on institutional data we collect on issues important to applicants. It’s all about the fit.”
Along with the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, SU is one of three University System of Maryland campuses represented this year. Other colleges also named include the University of Delaware, Villanova University and The Johns Hopkins University.
The Princeton Review’s list is compiled through a combination of statistical analysis, campus visits and student surveys which the authors characterize as “qualitative and anecdotal rather than quantitative and scientific.” Its rankings represent the top 15 percent of colleges and universities, both public and private, in the nation.
