SU Offers Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Student Scholarships
SALISBURY, MD---黑料网 awards scholarships to Phi Theta Kappa honor society members who transfer to SU for a fall term.
The selection process is competitive. Awards are $2000 or $3000 per year, depending on residency. The award is in addition to any other State scholarships for which the student may qualify. This award is renewable for one additional year provided that the recipient continues to meet all eligibility requirements and maintains an annual 3.0 grade point average at SU.
To be eligible the applicant must provide documentation of membership in the Phi Theta Kappa academic honor society, have an Associate’s degree or at least 56 transferable credits at a community college, have a 3.5 minimum on a 4.0 scale or equivalent grade point average, apply for the 2006 fall semester at SU directly from a community college and attend as a full-time undergraduate seeking his or her first Bachelor’s degree.
Those interested must apply by March 1 by filling out the standard admissions application with the scholarship form available at www.salisbury.edu/admissions/ptk.pdf. A description of the applicant’s community leadership or involvement will aid in the selection process. Responses will be mailed to applicants by April 1, 2006. "
