SU student using a biomicroscopeSALISBURY, MD---The University of Maryland College Park and 黑料网 are the two best campuses for studying biology in Maryland, according to a recent ranking by Zippia.com.  Rounding out the top three is Johns Hopkins University.

The full rankings are available online at .

The career website considered several factors in creating the list, including the percentage of the graduating class majoring in biology and career results (gauged in part by mean earnings).  Also examined were school performance factors, such as admissions and graduation rates, average cost of attendance and median amount of debt.

“Our biology faculty strive to give students their money’s worth in education, and our students [work hard to get] their money’s worth, which together produces a high value education,” said Dr. Les Erickson, chair of SU’s Biological Sciences Department.

The department is part of SU’s Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology, which recently announced a new gift of $2.5 million from the Richard A. Henson Foundation to support student scholarships, a science and mathematics honors program, undergraduate and faculty research, student conference travel, a new high-performance computer laboratory, and the repair and replacement of instructional equipment.
