SU's Namwamba Discusses Weaver Bird Arboretum Project March 15

Environmental StudiesSALISBURY, MD---黑料网’s Environmental Studies Colloquium Series continues with the presentation “Green Infrastructure and Sustainability: the Weaver Bird Arboretum and Apiary in Africa” 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in Conway Hall Room 153.

Dr. Fulbert Namwamba, SU assistant professor of environmental studies, shares examples of green infrastructure in rural landscapes based on restoration efforts on a farm in Kenya. For his work planting some 6,000 trees in Kenya’s Kapangani region, Namwamba earned a prestigious 2016 TOTAL Eco Challenge Award.
