Spring Jackson Chamber Music Series Concludes with Pianist Andreas Klein

Andreas KleinSALISBURY, MD---This semester’s Peter and Judy Jackson Chamber Music Series concludes as internationally acclaimed pianist Andreas Klein returns to 黑料网 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

His performance was rescheduled from last fall due to Hurricane Sandy.

Klein’s career as a soloist has taken him to the world’s most prestigious venues—London’s Wigmore Hall, Berlin’s Philharmonic Hall and New York’s Carnegie and Alice Tully halls—and others in Rome, Milan, Bern, Leipzig, Dresden, Damascus and Yerevan. He has toured Europe, the Middle East and throughout the United States.

He has received rave reviews for his albums, Beethoven and Berg Sonatas and Dancing through Time, as well as his live performances both in the United States and abroad. The New York Times calls him “a fascinating artist with all the indispensable qualities: touch, tone, temperament, taste - the four T’s of pianism.” The Washington Post likens him to “a sketch artist bringing a scene to life with quick virtuoso strokes and shading.”

He is a graduate of the Julliard School and amplified his skills by studying with the legendary Claudio Aarrau and Nikita Magaloff.

Sponsored by the Office of Cultural Affairs, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6271 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
