Towers Joins Advancement Staff

SALISBURY, MD---Cambridge resident and Salisbury State University alumnus Wayne Towers recently returned to his alma mater to be coordinator of major gifts for the Office of Advancement.

“I have been involved with the University ever since I graduated,” Towers said. “I like the people and the environment and I believe in what the SSU team is doing.”

Towers returns to Salisbury State after more than 32 years with the Xerox Corporation as its national account manager. While at Xerox he was responsible state and local governments as well as public schools and universities in the states of Maryland and Delaware.

He married Donna Sheets in 1963, who also graduated from SSU. The couple belongs to Grace United Methodist Church in Cambridge. She teaches at Pine Grove Middle School in Baltimore County where she is the Language Arts Department chair.

The couple’s daughter, Kara Michelle, another SSU alumna, works in Owings Mills, MD, for Aether Systems.
