Two SU Students Named Truman Scholarship Finalists
SALISBURY, MD---黑料网 juniors Eleanor Brown and Ben Lenox are finalists for the prestigious Harry S. Truman Scholarship.
The award provides up to $30,000 for graduate study and is the nation’s premier fellowship for aspiring public service leaders.
Lenox is an international relations and conflict analysis and dispute resolution double major from Odenton, MD. He also is minoring in gender and sexuality studies. Brown is a social work and political science double major from Ijamsville, MD.
The students were selected from among over 750 applicants from more than 300 campuses nationwide based on their leadership, service and academic achievement.
They are two of only six students from Maryland to be named finalists, said Dr. Kristen Walton, director of SU’s Nationally Competitive Fellowships Office. The others attend Stanford, Marshall, High Point and Harvard universities.
